So, I totally love the Buffalo Exchange. The place is kinda sorta the most amazing place ever. Others may prefer Nordstrom Last Chance, but alas! That is for another blog. Here, I will extoll the virtues of shopping for Saks 5th Avenue merchandise at Old Navy prices. Let's begin!
Nanette Lepore: These lovely frocks run the gamut of $200 to a cool $800 buckaroos. Not...in the budget. So I browse the racks at Buffalo (as I do about once a week), and what should appear to mine wandering eye but a beautiful blue and pinky-red watercolor floral dress, complete with delicate silver metallic stripes:
It has this rad 70's-vibe going.
Attached to the shoulder:
Yes, ladies and gentlefolk. The tags says $425. Dollars, not pesos.
Say I to myself:
Neat dealio!
No belt, no problem.
The $395 smackers I'm saving can buy a lil something to suffice.
Quick! Sprint to the register before someone snatches it out of your grubby little hands!
So I bought it, of course. The best thing about it is, since it costs about as much as a knock-around dress from Old Navy, this Nanette Lepore is my knock-around dress.
Three cheers to Thrifty!
Happy Shopping!

Ask me if I'll be borrowing that from you. Go ahead. I'll wait. ;))))
